Atomic heart cancelled9/20/2023 ![]() I am seeing children's books taken off shelves here because they hail from the 50's and have lines in them that could possibly be considered offensive. I am seeing my kid bringing home spelling exercises from school that have pro alphabet people texts in them. What I am seeing in the real world is my boss refusing to put a Xmas tree in the lobby because it might offend people of another religion. I'm not going down any rabbit holes here. I'm not on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or any of that crap. The only social media I'm following is youtube gaming channels and I only watch the news in the morning while eating breakfast. Get off social media, stop watching 24/7 "news" channels. Rogers didn't get cancelled for putting his feet in the same "pool" as a black man, and Hogwarts Legacy didn't get cancelled because of JK Rowling. Star Trek didn't get cancelled for an interracial kiss, Mr. The fact that you believe it is is, ironically, also the result of being on social media too much. Cancel culture is scaring companies and politicians into conformity. That's how I used to feel but the problem is all this toxic waste is seeping into the real world at an alarming rate. Personally I'm hyped for Atomic Heart, and couldn't give less of a ♥♥♥♥ who developed it. Don't get me wrong, the crazy people are out there, but if not for the megaphone of the internet, you probably wouldn't ever come face to face with them. All this craziness goes away if you turn off social media. Atomic Heart is set for release on the same day this year, raising eyebrows." "On 21st February 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a presidential decree recognising the independence of separatist regions in eastern Ukraine, which preceded military action less than 72 hours later. " The timing of the event (game promotion) coincided with international backlash to the new anti-LGBTQ laws in Russia" Has now aimed their focus on Atomic Heart by (partly Russian) developer Mundfish. It officially launches on February 21st on all platforms.įor more Insider Gaming news, check out our coverage of the report that suggests there are no plans for Hogwarts Legacy DLC at present.Eurogamer, Europe's biggest gaming website who actively boycotted Hogwarts Legacy by never even mentioning the game on their site, let alone review since it indirectly enriched " an openly hateful person". Last month, 14 minutes of gameplay emerged online, and just days ago, a further five hours of content found its way onto social media.Ītomic Heart looks brilliant, taking the form of some twisted fusion of Fallout, BioShock, and Far Cry, pitting the player against an army of maniacal robots and synths in an environment straining under the weight of a terrifying AI uprising. Despite a hefty development cycle powered by crunch culture (reportedly), it seems that holes were present along the way, giving rise to content pouring out ahead of the title hitting shelves around the world. Since then, the original post was deleted, and now, little more than three months later and days ahead of launch, there’s a chance that that individual has made good on those suggestions to leak the content.Īs the launch of Atomic Heart grows ever closer, more gameplay is surfacing online. However, this information goes hand-in-hand with claims that arose in November, suggesting that the game’s files were obtained by a third party, who was asking on Reddit what they should do with those files. It was stated on Reddit that the Atomic Heart dev build leak was dropped to a platform called Breached, but owing to the inherently unsafe nature of downloading said files, we’ve not corroborated the information at present. Last month, a gameplay leak uncovered more or less everything someone would need to know about Atomic Heart. This news comes following a series of less severe leaks, with players getting their hands on the game early in recent days and streaming it online. There are just three days until the game launches in full on the 21st, but this potentially major leak could have profound implications for the developer, Mundfish. In a post on Reddit, it was revealed that some guy had leaked a dev build of Atomic Heart, posting the game’s files on a platform that’s known for the sharing of such content.
